Our review policy for health-adjacent content.
Some of what we publish — anything touching GLP-1 medication — sits close to people's health. This page sets out, plainly, how we handle that content, what we will never do, and the honest standard we hold ourselves to when a subject is sensitive. It sits alongside our editorial policy.
What our GLP-1 content is — and isn't.
Our GLP-1 material is lifestyle and educational support: nutrition, routine, side-effect and eating-out organisation, meaningful tracking, and planning for life after the medication. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your GP, prescriber, pharmacist or any qualified professional.
We never:
- prescribe, or recommend a medication or supplement;
- advise on dose, timing, or how to take a medication;
- tell you when to start, stop, taper, switch or restart a medication;
- diagnose, or interpret your personal symptoms or results;
- promise weight, health or treatment outcomes.
For anything in that list, the responsible answer is your prescriber, your pharmacist, your medication's patient information leaflet, and current guidance from your national health authority (the NHS and GOV.UK in the UK). That's what our content points you to.
Our "reviewed by" rule
We do not display a "medically reviewed by" line, a reviewer's name, or a professional credential unless a named, appropriately qualified person genuinely reviewed that specific content. We will never invent a reviewer, borrow a credential, or imply a clinical sign-off that didn't happen. If you don't see a review credit on a piece, it means that piece was published as lifestyle and educational content within the limits above — not that we've hidden a reviewer.
What a review does — and doesn't — mean.
Where a named professional has reviewed a section, it means a suitably qualified person checked that the content is accurate, responsibly framed, and appropriately cautious as general information at the time of review. It does not turn the content into personal medical advice, and it does not replace a conversation with your own clinician about your own circumstances. Guidance changes; we revisit reviewed content and note material updates.
Where this sits
This review standard is part of our wider editorial approach — how we choose topics, source information, and take responsibility for what we publish.
