Editorial policy.

This page explains how The Reset Edit decides what to publish, where our information comes from, who writes and checks it, and how we keep it current. It applies to our books, guides, and articles. If our writing is going to sit near people's health, we think you're owed this level of plainness.

How we choose what to cover

We write about the ordinary, practical parts of wellbeing where a bit of structure actually helps — nutrition and routine on and after GLP-1 medication, and the everyday resets around work, screens, home and habit. We choose topics because they're useful and within our remit, not because they're sensational or high-traffic. If a subject needs clinical judgement to answer responsibly, we either keep our coverage to the non-medical, organisational side of it, or we don't cover it.

Where our information comes from

For anything clinical or health-adjacent, we work from the top of this hierarchy down:

  1. Authoritative UK guidance — the NHS, GOV.UK, and relevant regulators and professional bodies.
  2. Peer-reviewed research and systematic reviews, read in context rather than cherry-picked.
  3. A medication's patient information leaflet and the manufacturer's official information, for anything drug-specific.
  4. Reputable journalism and specialist reporting, used for context and signposting — never as the basis for a health claim.

We say when something is general information rather than settled fact, we avoid presenting one study as the whole picture, and for medication-sensitive points we defer to your prescriber, pharmacist, and the current guidance rather than answering for them.

Who writes and reviews it

The Reset Edit's guides, systems and articles are written and published by The Reset Edit™ and edited by people — not auto-generated and published unchecked. Our books are published under the author name Orla Rose, whose background is over thirty years working in healthcare alongside personal experience of GLP-1 treatment. Neither the brand name nor the author name is a claim to clinical qualifications; the work is lifestyle and educational support held to the standard on this page.

Health-adjacent content follows an additional standard set out in our review policy. Importantly, we do not display a "medically reviewed by" credit unless a named, appropriately qualified professional genuinely reviewed that specific content. Where sensitive material would need review we haven't obtained, we hold that section rather than publish it or fake a sign-off.

How often we revisit content

Health-adjacent guidance changes, so we treat our content as maintained, not finished. We review health-adjacent pages periodically and when significant guidance changes, and we revisit evergreen wellbeing content on a rolling basis. Versioned products carry their own edition notes. When we make a meaningful change to something we've published, we correct it in the open.

We are not a medical service.

The Reset Edit provides lifestyle and educational support only. Nothing we publish is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and none of it replaces your GP, prescriber, pharmacist or any qualified professional. We don't prescribe, set doses, or tell you when to start, stop, taper, switch or restart any medication. For anything medication-related, follow your patient information leaflet and speak to your prescriber or pharmacist, and refer to current NHS and GOV.UK guidance. Results and experiences vary.

Affiliate links and how we make money

The Reset Edit mainly earns through its own one-time products. Some articles also contain affiliate links — where we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We only include them where the product honestly fits the piece, an affiliate relationship never buys a recommendation or changes our editorial view, and affiliate links are disclosed clearly on the pages that use them. We never accept payment to present something as medical advice.

Independence and accountability

The Reset Edit is operated by The Reset Edit Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16430780). We publish independently. If you think we've got something wrong, please tell us.
